Mrs. Kerekes stated that she pulled this item for Board discussion and public awareness. She would like to see the extra $2.5 million reported in the fund balance be earmarked in a separate new account. There was Board discussion with differing opinions concerning  the noted $2.5 million and how the money should be used.  Superintendent Van Zant referred to a January 21, 2016, email sent to the School Board from Dr. Susan Legutko in which she explained the 3rd calculation and a potential increase in revenue.  The email further addressed the impact this would have on the current budget and the district's potential to reach a 3% fund balance.
